The Homestead and Woolshed on Racecourse
Confetti: We encourage fresh petals where ever your ceremony is with no confetti or party poppers permitted on most premises.
Rehearsal/Set-up: We encourage a rehearsal and set-up the day prior to the wedding for final handover of arrangements if we are managing and hosting
Venue Access: Based on a time mutually agreed by both parties.
MC: Introduction of MC to Judy, if possible the day prior to the wedding or introduced on the day to hand over housekeeping rules for the property to be able to inform all guests.
Cancellation: Should an unforeseen circumstance arise and cancellation is necessary, the deposit is non-refundable. Central Otago Country Weddings will endeavour to allow a change in date once a booking is made however should we be unable to accommodate the future date the deposit is non-refundable. However on compassionate grounds, at our discretion, the deposit could be refunded, with us retaining an administration fee for work completed.
Numbers: Confirmation of numbers attending your wedding must be given within 14 days prior to the wedding date.
Children: We welcome children at all weddings but do ask for children under the age of 13 to be supervised by an adult at all times.
Catering: We have preferred caterers for our couples to decide who they would like to use for all their catering. We will provide you with their details for you to arrange style, menus and costings which you can then select who you would like to use, they will work with you to fit your budget.
Deposit: 50% of your package. With the final payment due 30 days prior to the wedding, along with any extras that you have requested.
Corkage & BYO: We recommend no spirits for guests, but an exception for eg Brides father or a special Uncle or Grandfather. Not held on the bar but in the kitchen for staff to manage and serve. Please advise Judy if you wish to do this. Also we do not allow for guests to bring in their own alcohol. We have a Host Responsibility and intoxicated guests will not be served. If there is any doubt about some ones age the bar staff will check identification. The acceptable forms of identification are HANZ 18+ card, Current Passport, New Zealand Driver's License. Underage guests will not be served unless approval has been given by their Parent or Guardian.
Decorations: We welcome decorations which are to be mutually agreed.
Setting up of Tables: Generally your caterer will set all tables for dining and with your decorations on the morning of the wedding.
The Bars: the chosen preferred caterer will set up, man and break down the bars as required.
Parking and Buses: Please allow for your guests to be transported to their destination in a safe manner at the end of the evening, this is a requirement due to the licensing regulations. Please advise form of transport prior to the wedding..
